Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

Role Overview
Build and stress-test production software on top of advanced large language models, helping evaluate frontier AI capabilities before release. You will work on fast-moving initiatives with an AI lab''s engineering manager, contributing working code early and translating hands-on engineering findings into actionable feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and ship full-stack applications, services, and internal tools in Python, Java, Rust, C#, C++, or TypeScript that exercise model capabilities end to end.
- Integrate pre-release model APIs into working software, including tool interfaces, evaluation harnesses, and telemetry.
- Identify and document model and integration failure modes, communicating clear written feedback to research teams.
- Rapidly prototype against evolving requirements and deliver working increments with limited up-front specification.
- Collaborate with the engineering manager and other engineers to maintain code quality, architectural consistency, and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience building and shipping production software at a recognized top-tier organization, including end-to-end systems ownership.
- Deep production expertise in at least one of Python, Java, Rust, C#, or C++, plus demonstrated delivery in a second language from a different ecosystem.
- Experience across backend service and API design, a modern front-end framework such as React, data modeling, and cloud deployment and operations.
- Ability to ramp up quickly in an unfamiliar codebase and deliver working code with minimal onboarding time.
- Demonstrated career progression, strong written communication skills, and the ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly.
- This engineering group is intentionally staffed across multiple language ecosystems.
Work Terms
- United States-based, hourly W-2 employment role.
- Full-time weekday commitment of at least 40 hours per week.
- Work directly with the engineering manager on high-impact AI initiatives, with an expectation to onboard quickly and begin contributing early.
Compensation
- $90 to $110 per hour.
