Intern Opportunity At Berg Enterprises, Inc.
We are currently seeking a dependable, hardworking, focused, and highly motivated intern for Berg Enterprises, Inc. who has a high level of interest in commercial HVAC and plumbing construction.
This position will report directly to the Director of Estimation in the review of plans/specs, solicitation/negotiation of prices from contractors and suppliers, quantity takeoffs, and all other tasks associated with a complete bid/estimating process.
Responsibilities
- Manage, organize, and communicate bid documentation
- Perform detailed take-off and unit cost estimates of mechanical and plumbing estimates
- Perform pricing breakouts as required by customers, general contractors and subcontractors
- Electronically maintain records of all working documents and dates to back up estimates
- Assemble well-organized project folders in a timely manner
Recommendations
- Interest in computerized estimating and digital takeoff software
- Proficiency with Google Workspace
- Detail-oriented personality with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work and produce within a deliverable deadline
Compensation
This will be a paid internship position. Compensation is subject to candidates availability, experience, and education and will be negotiated accordingly.
