Shipping and Receiving Clerk - $23/hr

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for filling, packing, and shipping parts for customer repair orders while maintaining inventory of shipping materials and supplies. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate with production planners and lead personnel to ensure timely and accurate shipment of products.

Responsibilities

• Fill, pack, and ship parts for customer repair orders.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Review shipping reports and communicate daily with production planners and lead personnel regarding items to be shipped.
• Read shipping orders to determine quantity and type of transportation needed.
• Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements and issue instructions for loading products.
• Annotate shipping orders with loading location and time of arrival of transportation.
• Load trucks and/or trailers with correct finished products per pick list.
• Update Infoflo system to relieve inventory as orders are shipped.
• Operate forklift and maintain current forklift operator license at all times.
• Possess the knowledge to key, code, open, and close factory in case an Area Leader or other management personnel are not available.
• Perform other clerical tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

• Licensed forklift operator with current certification.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
• Experience with packing, picking, RF scanners, FedEx, inventory control, data entry, and order picking.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools, including screwdrivers, power drills, rivet guns, sockets, and wrenches.
• 2+ years of shipping/receiving experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in material handling.
• Ability to perform clerical tasks as needed.

Work Environment

The facility is well-lit and located in the heart of Edina. The company is unionized and prioritizes employee welfare. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with half-day shifts on Fridays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edina, MN.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
