Job Title Sales and Service Banker – Rockaway, NJ Overview As a Sales and Service Banker, you will serve as a trusted advisor, building long‑lasting relationships with customers by understanding their financial needs and goals. Your role includes providing tailored solutions for banking, lending, and investment products while delivering exceptional service, minimizing risk, and defending against fraud. Responsibilities Engage proactively with customers to identify cross‑sell opportunities and resolve issues. Process teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers with accuracy and efficiency. Handle cash and maintain accurate cash drawer balances. Assist with custodianship, audits, and other operational tasks. Collaborate with team members to drive branch sales targets and contribute to overall success. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to risk and fraud defense. Educate customers on digital banking tools and self‑service options. Maintain an elevated customer experience through personalized, seamless, and attentive service. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. 12+ months of experience selling products and/or services, or 6+ months in retail‑banking sales, financial services sales or consultative relationship sales. 6+ months of customer service experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. 6+ months of cash‑handling experience. Established relationship‑building skills with a focus on customer experience and loyalty. Excellent customer service, communication, consultative and influence skills. Ability to learn and apply sales techniques to recommend appropriate products. Proficiency in digital tools and technology for customer engagement. Computer proficiency and basic math skills. Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without employer sponsorship.
