Forklift Operator - Tire Maintenance

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday,
• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to join our team in Jefferson, Georgia. This role primarily involves performing tire mounting, repair, and replacement services within a warehouse environment. The position requires operating sit-down forklifts to handle heavy tires and equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean workspace in a hot and dusty setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Mount tires onto machines and rims using appropriate machinery
• Conduct tire repairs, including patching and plugging punctures, or recommend tire replacement
• Mount and balance new tires on rims
• Diagnose tire issues such as punctures, leaks, and tread wear
• Perform tire rotations and wheel alignments as needed
• Inspect tires for damage, tread wear, and proper inflation
• Operate sit-down forklifts to move heavy tires and equipment safely
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment
• Assist in tire repair and replacement in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Perform heavy lifting of up to 40 lbs and manual handling of tires and equipment
• Provide professional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures at all times

Required Qualifications

• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy tires and equipment (up to 40 lbs)
• Willingness to work in hot, dusty environments
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, during first or second shifts
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Professional demeanor and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating sit-down forklifts
• Previous experience in tire repair or tire changing (training provided)
• Familiarity with tire repair tools, patching, and plugging equipment
• Mechanical assembly or quality control experience
