AFL Professional Caregiver (Independent Contractor)

AFL Professional Caregiver (Independent Contractor) Type: Independent Contractor (Direct Services) We are hiring a positive and personable individual to provide support for individuals and/or groups of persons with intellectual, developmental disabilities, mental health, or substance use challenges. The role involves assisting clients in identifying and communicating their requests and needs, implementing services and supports to achieve their goals, and understanding clients in the context of their personal history and networks. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, transportation, and social participation. Act as an advocate, teacher, and mentor to help clients achieve personal goals and live more independently. Document all care provided and collaborate with the care team. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED Minimum of two years of experience working with the population supported Physical Requirements Regularly required to lift 30 lbs; must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. Must be able to pull a minimum of 50 lbs, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must regularly use hands to handle objects, tools or controls, stand, walk, and demonstrate proficiency in CPR. Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision, and the ability to talk and hear. Starting Pay Starting pay is based on previous caregiver experience. Shifts Shifts vary by location and are available during the day, afternoon, or overnight, seven days a week. Positions are open immediately and include part‑time and full‑time options. Full‑time positions qualify for company benefits. Position Requirements High School Diploma or G.E.D.
