Position SummaryThe Plant Controller is a key member of the Livonia leadership team responsible for financial reporting, cost competitiveness, and strategic decision support. This role partners with the Plant Manager and operations leaders to drive profitability, improve performance, and support long-term growth while leading all financial planning, reporting, and control activities for the plant.This position is a member of the Drivetrain and Morse Systems accounting and finance team located at the Livonia, MI manufacturing facility.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & Business SupportLead monthly close processes (actuals and forecast) and annual planning (budget/LRP)Partner with plant leadership to analyze performance, lead spending reviews, and drive corrective actions when neededComplete daily standard work including checklist activities such as bi-monthly payment runs, ad-hoc cash receiving, and other itemsLead annual physical inventory and standard cost processesBusiness & Capital ManagementLead financial cost estimate modeling for new business opportunitiesReview and manage capital appropriation requests ensuring projects are on budgetLead cost save meetings to drive and achieve cost improvement goalsLeadership, Controls & Continuous ImprovementLead and develop accounting staff. Learn all daily staff functionsOwn SOX compliance and plant-level controls, ensuring BW policies are metDrive process improvements, automation, and reporting efficiencyQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration5+ years of controlling/accounting experience.
