Neonatologist - Assistant or Associate Professor LevelThe Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., is seeking a full-time Neonatologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.We are looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Neonatologist with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care and teaching, along with an interest in research. This is an opportunity to practice high-acuity neonatal medicine while contributing to the education and academic mission of a leading teaching and research hospital.About Our Level IV NICUThe NICU at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is the only Level IV neonatal intensive care facility in the Washington, D.C., region for high-risk pregnancies and deliveries and serves as a maternal and neonatal regional referral center.Our neonatal team cares for critically ill newborns and infants with a wide range of complex medical and surgical diagnoses, with access to advanced neonatal technologies and therapies, including:Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)High-frequency ventilationInhaled nitric oxide (iNO)Whole-body therapeutic hypothermiaPoint-of-care ultrasound (POCUS)Video laryngoscopy for neonatal intubationNear-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS)Amplitude-integrated EEG and video EEGMultiple modes of invasive and noninvasive respiratory supportHuman milk analysis to support personalized neonatal nutritionThe neonatal team provides coordinated care beginning before delivery with prenatal consultation for high-risk pregnancies and continuing through acute NICU care, step-down care, discharge, and high-risk neonatal and neurodevelopmental follow-up.
