Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the property. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to residents and property management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance troubleshooting.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential issues before they become major repairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, grounds, and amenities.
• Repair and replace fixtures, locks, door hardware, flooring, drywall, and other apartment components.
• Assist with apartment turns and make-ready preparations to ensure units are move-in ready.
• Troubleshoot and repair household appliances as needed.
• Support property management in maintaining compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Participate in property inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities.
• Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with residents and vendors.

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, and general maintenance practices.
• Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Professional attitude and commitment to customer service.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• HVAC certification is a plus but not required.
