Mid-Level, Lead or Senior Ground Systems Engineer – El Segundo, CA. The Boeing Space & Mission Systems MILSATCOM Program seeks an engineer to develop next‑generation satellite ground systems, working across multiple phases of development in an agile environment. Position Responsibilities Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Perform analyses to optimize system architecture for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification and other quality factors to ensure mission success. Support the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements‑management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology‑readiness assessment processes. Be a member of the MILSATCOM Program Team, developing, executing and documenting test plans, procedures and reports for ground systems and larger functional systems. Work 100% onsite at El Segundo, CA. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience) Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). A clearance active in the past 24 months is considered active. Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. Experience in verification and test of ground systems. Five or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) Experience writing requirements and ICDs of ground systems. Experience developing, generating and executing system test plans, procedures and reports. Experience working in a team of systems engineers using a scaled agile development process. At least three years of experience in system requirements generation, verification and system integration and test (I&T). Strong communication, adaptability, decision‑making, customer focus, integrated systems, engineering analysis and requirements/tracing skill set. Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance. Pay Range (Mid‑Level – Level 3): $119,850 – $162,150 Lead – Level 4: $146,200 – $197,800 Senior – Level 5: $176,800 – $239,200 Applications for this position will be accepted until May 29, 2026.
