We offer opportunities for training, advancement, and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young children.Duties:Help provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young childrenSupport lead teachers with daily activities and classroom supervisionFoster the YMCA's core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caringAssist with implementing curriculum and guiding structured and free play activitiesPromote positive behavior and help maintain classroom routinesAttend to children's basic needs including meals, rest, and outdoor playParticipate in staff meetings, trainings, and family engagement eventsRequirements:18 years oldHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCDA credential or equivalent preferredCompletion of DCF MODS (Introductory Child Care Training, Parts 1 & 2)1+ year of experience working with children in a developmental settingAble to work with infants, toddlers, and young children both indoors and outdoorsAbility to sit, stand, walk, bend, talk, hear, and lift up to 40 lbsMust be comfortable participating in activities and engaging physically with childrenVision requirements include close/distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustmentPass a 10-panel drug screen.Clear a Level 2 background check*Pay & Perks: Full-time, $14.75 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience).
