Registered Nurse (RN) Clinic Manager or Clinic Manager | Avera Cancer Institute

Location: Avera Cancer Institute‑Mitchell Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Primarily days with possible weekends/evenings/holidays (United States of America) Clinic Manager Responsible for all aspects of the day‑to‑day operations of the clinic, including nursing, business office, and medical staff relations. Provides nursing service as needed. Responsibilities Manage, supervise, and coordinate day‑to‑day operations of the clinic, including financial management, maintenance of the operating budget, expense management, staffing, and services offered by the clinic. Collect data, prepare reports, analyze statistics, and respond to correspondence. Identify and review operational problems and resolve them or bring to leadership. Assist leadership with the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of budgets and business plans. Recommend clinic facility improvements including construction, renovation, and purchase of equipment. Ensure clinic operations support the mission, values, and philosophies of the organization. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and accrediting bodies. Initiate changes as appropriate. Maintain open, professional communication with providers on a daily basis, involving them on issues that affect the clinic. Coordinate with leadership on monitoring medical activities to ensure cost‑effective and high‑quality care for patients. Ensure proper credentialing and licensure are maintained. Administer staffing plan that allows the clinic/department to operate efficiently. Resolve medical‑administrative problems and keep lines of communication open with staff to ensure high employee morale and a professional clinic atmosphere. Perform functions consistent with currently accepted nursing standards and principles. Interview, hire, develop, train, and retain employees; plan, assign, and lead work; appraise performance; reward and coach; address complaints and resolve problems. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing license active in the state of practice. Bachelor’s degree or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to work the hours specified. Must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily, including visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and ability to communicate effectively, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
