Regional Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Starting Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 /year based on experience PLUS $2,000 Annual Education Stipend! Environment: Special Education Programs, Grades K-12 Regional Assignment: Southern California – Orange, Buena Park, Chino Hills We are seeking a Regional Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our award-winning Special Education team. In this role you will provide high‑quality, student‑centered speech therapy services across multiple Spectrum School locations, collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance communication skills and overall development. Responsibilities Evaluate students to identify speech‑language therapy needs and determine appropriate level of service. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings. Set collaborative, student‑centered goals with families, educators, and interdisciplinary team members. Monitor progress with data‑driven assessments, adjust plans, and provide detailed progress reports. Deliver direct therapy using evidence‑based strategies to improve articulation, language comprehension, and cognitive‑linguistic abilities. Document therapy sessions and clinical observations accurately to ensure compliance with Spectrum policies and state regulations. Maintain case records, including timely submission of authorized documentation and billing within 24 hours of service delivery. Communicate proactively with families about schedules, changes, and progress updates. Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and related services to integrate therapy goals into daily routines. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and regional conferences to share insights and review student progress. Provide clinical support and expertise to onsite program teams for consistent implementation of goals. Mentor educators and staff to build clinical capacity and effective therapy delivery. Conduct client intakes and comprehensive clinical assessments, contributing to continuous program enhancement. Oversee the quality and consistency of therapy services across multiple schools, ensuring alignment with best practices. Support direct supervision, staff development, and knowledge sharing to foster professional growth. Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed of emerging practices and research. Travel regularly between assigned School locations; occasional overnight travel may be required. Perform additional responsibilities or projects as requested by Program Directors or the Area/Regional VP of Operations. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Speech‑Language Pathology or a related field. Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an SLP credential. Preferably licensed or in process of obtaining a CA state special education instruction credential. Valid CA state driver’s license. Ability to obtain and maintain company‑approved crisis management training certification. Prior experience providing speech therapy in alternative, special education, or behavioral health settings. Well‑versed in special education services, compliance, effective teaching strategies, classroom management, data‑based decision making, and working with children with IEPs. Highly skilled with children having learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and related disabilities. Proven success in developing and implementing effective treatment plans for diverse needs. Proficiency in motivating students and engaging in critical conversations to move toward realistic goals. Strong interpersonal skills building relationships with students, parents, teachers, and community partners. Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision‑making abilities. Knowledge of relevant technology, including instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry, and basic office equipment.
