PROPOSAL MANAGER at Mikel

Proposal Manager Location: Middletown, RI (on-site) Position Summary The Proposal Manager will oversee all proposal activities, including directing the proposal team, managing proposal schedules and deadlines, creating content, and monitoring progress. The role involves drafting technical responses, coordinating administrative functions, and partnering with the Capture Manager to integrate win strategies into compliant proposals. Additionally, the manager will develop and execute review plans (Pink Team, Red Team, Gold Team) for interim and final reviews of the technical proposals. Responsibilities Produce final, approved responses to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, Sources Sought, and Market Surveys. Work with Capture Managers to prepare responsibility and compliance matrices. Identify, manage, and report on proposal team members, assignments, strategy, and deadlines. Create, gather, research, and organize information from multiple sources to generate proposals. Review RFP and bid/qualifications request documents to understand client requirements. Create project plans for internal and external proposal and business schedules. Coordinate and communicate all writing assignments. Develop templates for responses based on requirements and assign deadlines. Organize and edit all technical, corporate, and management written materials supplied by support groups, including sections, tables, exhibits, and attachments. Monitor proposals for accurate content, consistency, and compliance. Support graphics, editing, quality assurance, and production. Ensure proposal compliance is maintained for all submissions. Anticipate possible trouble areas and collaborate with the Capture Manager to provide practical solutions. Support special projects and complete other responsibilities as appropriate, such as conference planning and brochure preparation. Requirements BA/BS in English, Business, Communications, or closely related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience providing government proposal development. Technical writing background/knowledge. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance or higher required at time of hire. Subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and eligibility for classified information access. U.S. citizenship required. Skills Excellent spelling and grammatical skills. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and direction in a dynamic work environment.
