Puyallup Post Acute - Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, culinary arts, and dietary assistance, with a focus on providing high-quality meal preparation and service. This role involves working closely with the dietary department to ensure nutritious, appealing meals are prepared and served in a timely manner, maintaining the highest standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble meals according to menu specifications, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met Assist with menu planning and food preparation for various dietary needs Handle food safely and hygienically in compliance with health regulations Serve meals to residents or customers in a courteous and professional manner Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including proper sanitation of equipment and utensils Support catering events and special meal services as needed Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal production and timely service Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary Requirements Prior experience in dietary services, food preparation, or culinary roles preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures Experience in fine dining, restaurant, or catering environments is advantageous Skills in meal preparation, cooking, knife handling, and food presentation Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong understanding of menu planning and dietary accommodations Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to support operational hours This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a caring environment where quality food service is a priority.
