Medical Laboratory Scientist - Blood Bank

Medical Laboratory Scientist – Regional Blood Bank Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist Journeyman responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high‑complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. Must perform pre‑analytical, analytical and post‑analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, instrument maintenance and problem resolution. Frequently works with acute‑care and outpatient caregivers and other Laboratory Services staff. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from an NAACLS accredited MLS program, or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology, or Upon hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology, or Upon hire: National Medical Technologist – American Society for Clinical Pathology, or Upon hire: National Medical Technologist – American Medical Technologists, or Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Medical Technologist. 1 year experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a laboratory department or exceeds principal duties in the MLS I job description. Preferred Qualifications 3 years clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and high complexity laboratory. Benefits & Compensation Base pay range: $37.84 - $58.75. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
