Contract Position Job Title: ReceptionistWork Location: Muddy Run Visitor Center, Holtwood, PASchedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PMAdditional Hours: Weekends and evenings may be requiredPosition SummaryThe receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers at the Muddy Run Visitor Center and may be assigned to work at the Conowingo Visitors Center as needed. This role supports daily operations, assists with public engagement, and contributes to recreational programming and administrative tasks.Essential FunctionsAnswer and route telephone calls and emails; maintain a call log using ExcelGreet and assist visitors with inquiries and directionsMaintain cleanliness and organization of lobby, reception, and display areasPerform typing and data entry tasksAssist with filing and copying of documents (electronic and hardcopy)Create promotional materials such as ads, flyers, PowerPoint presentations, yard signs, and logbooksSupport the Licensing and Recreation Department with contests and public eventsCoordinate with staff on event logistics and visitor servicesMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDAt least one (1) year of experience in a receptionist or customer service roleStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in typing and data entryFamiliarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, ShareFile)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamAny equivalent combination of training, education, and/or experience that meets the minimum qualifications
