Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Care – Alaska

Start Date: November 3, 2026

Location: Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 4x12 variable shifts (Days or Nights based on facility needs at start), 60 guaranteed hours per two-week period. Choice of 13-week or 26-week assignment.

Highlights:

• Work in a 40-bed long-term care facility serving residents with diverse conditions including dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI, and other cognitive and physical impairments
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:20, providing opportunities to build meaningful relationships with residents
• Electronic charting system (ECS) utilized for documentation
• Free parking and facility-arranged shuttle transportation to and from Anchorage at start and end of contract
• Float within scope to meet facility needs; consistent shift assignment (not rotating between days and nights)
• Active involvement in specialized care including PEG tube feedings, wound care, respiratory treatments, IV hydration, and peritoneal dialysis

Requirements:

• Current Alaska RN license in hand prior to submission (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:20
• Proficiency in oxygen administration, peripheral line care, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Alaska Food Worker Certification will be obtained during on-site orientation (one-time $10 fee applies)
• Willingness to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
