Job Summary We are seeking an organized, fast-thinking Mobile X-Ray Dispatch & Medical Billing Coordinator to join our Sugar Land office. This critical dual role sits at the heart of our daily operations. You will manage the real-time routing and dispatching of our mobile radiologic technologists across our service areas while managing the medical billing and insurance verification pipeline. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of medical office experience , solid medical billing knowledge, and the ability to keep our mobile team moving efficiently. Key Responsibilities Dispatch & Fleet Coordination: Coordinate and dispatch mobile X-ray technologists to facilities and patient homes, maximizing routing efficiency. Triage incoming, urgent stat orders from physicians and facilities, dynamically adjusting tech schedules to meet critical turnaround times. Serve as the primary hub of communication between ordering facilities, physicians, and our field technologists. Participate in occasional on-call rotation to handle after-hours or urgent dispatch requests. Medical Billing & Administration: Verify patient insurance benefits (Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private insurance) prior to processing imaging requests. Prepare and submit clean medical claims , ensuring accurate use of diagnostic radiology ICD-10 codes and CPT modifiers. Manage billing inquiries , correct claims rejections, post payments, and handle patient/facility accounts receivable. Maintain strict HIPAA compliance across all patient scheduling, dispatch logs, and billing records. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on medical office experience is required. Core Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of medical billing, insurance verification, and coding workflows. Technical Skills: Proficiency with medical scheduling systems, electronic health records (EHR), and billing software. Geography: Familiarity with the greater Houston/Fort Bend County geographic area is highly preferred for effective routing. Attributes: High attention to detail, exceptional multitasking ability under pressure, and a clear, professional communication style.
