APRN - Primary Care & Pediatric Wellness Specialist

Join a collaborative healthcare team as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) providing primary care and women's health services with a focus on pediatric wellness. This role involves working closely with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to deliver comprehensive patient care in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest.


Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is mandatory for new hires.


Experience and Requirements: Current active Registered Nurse licensure and APRN certification are required. Proficiency with computer systems and meaningful use applications is essential. The role includes technical and scientific oversight of an onsite laboratory, requiring strong organizational and supervisory skills.


Responsibilities: Maintain accurate medical records and manage billing processes efficiently. Provide diagnostic assessments, order and interpret lab and imaging tests, prescribe medications, and develop follow-up care plans. Collaborate with physicians to ensure positive patient outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Serve as a technical consultant for laboratory operations, ensuring quality control and resolving technical issues. Prioritize patient education, safety, and satisfaction by tailoring care plans and offering counseling and support. Engage in professional development through peer review, continuing education, and competency evaluations. Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
