Job Summary: Join a compassionate healthcare team providing clinical support and patient care management in a dynamic practice setting. Your daily duties will adapt to the evolving needs of the practice, ensuring patients receive attentive and personalized care.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk individuals. Provide care aligned with established standards and guidelines, respond to patient calls with appropriate triage, and offer reassurance and clear instructions.

2. Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by accurately completing and updating medical records. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs such as weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, and collecting medical history and chief complaints. Monitor patients for abnormal symptoms, communicate findings to physicians, and document accordingly. Ensure patients understand physician instructions upon discharge and accurately document billing information.

3. Support physicians with testing and treatment procedures, including applying splints and dressings. Follow physician orders diligently, manage sample medications and logs, coordinate necessary testing or admissions, and obtain referrals. Assist in minor surgeries and physicals preparation, secure consents for invasive procedures or immunizations, distribute educational materials, and help patients understand treatment and medication usage. Perform prescribed laboratory tests and maintain lab logs.

4. Maintain clinical areas by stocking and organizing patient care supplies and educational materials. Ensure exam rooms are clean, orderly, and equipped with sterile instruments and functioning equipment.

5. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required. This role is based in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States, offering varied shifts to accommodate patient care needs.
