Tax Partner

A well-established public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Partner to join its DC area office. This is a firm that has a strong Mid-Atlantic presence and a reputation for exceptional culture, work-life balance, and high-caliber client work. The role is primarily focused on high net worth individual tax, with exposure to related pass-through entities and estate, gift, and trust work. The client base is already in place — this person will step into an existing book of business and work alongside a strong, tenured leadership team. What You’ll Do Manage and grow a high net worth individual tax client portfolio Review complex 1040s and related S-corp, partnership, and real estate entity returns Apply estate, gift, and trust expertise where applicable Mentor and oversee senior staff, supervisors, and managers on engagements Contribute to firm-wide business development and cross-selling within the firm Participate in office leadership, workforce planning, and quarterly/annual meetings What We’re Looking For 10+ years of public accounting experience (15+ typical at this level) Deep technical expertise in high net worth individual tax (1040) Estate, gift, and trust background is a strong plus Regional or mid-size firm background preferred Stable tenure — commitment to long-term client relationships Located in or willing to commute to the DC area What’s on Offer Variable bonus: combination of cash and RSUs based on company and individual performance Hybrid schedule (~3 days in office, with flexibility) Partner-equivalent title and career trajectory Collaborative, family-office culture with strong Mid-Atlantic brand recognition #J-18808-Ljbffr
