Registered Nurse

Provide patient care to Wound Care Center patients Handle patient intake and discharge processes Assist in the vein clinic after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training Serve as Case Manager for assigned patients when assigned Perform initial nursing assessments and communicate findings to physicians Assess wound stages and measurements Document care plans and evaluate patient status against desired outcomes Identify patient-care situations requiring intervention Participate in quality-improvement initiatives Educate patients or caregivers and advocate for patients Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties after completing required training Perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required training Collaborate with healthcare providers, Wound Care Center Providers, the Program Director, and Medical Director Function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) when required Perform other duties as required Requirements Degree in Nursing (ADN) Current RN license in the state of practice, maintained throughout employment Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Medical Surgical, Home Health, or Wound Care Certification preferred Wound care experience preferred Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support) Knowledge of regulatory and accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills Customer service and follow-up skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Teaching skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking team environment Ability to stay calm in all situations Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems Ability to meet stated physical demands, including lifting/moving items up to 75 pounds with equipment assistance Ability to work in the stated patient-care and hazardous environment Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in patient care, wound assessment, and case management while effectively collaborating with healthcare teams.
