Travel ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Ranson, West Virginia
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110–$2,220
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 21, 2026
• End Date: January 20, 2027
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, typically three 12-hour shifts
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Weekend and Holiday Rotation: Rotating weekends and holidays; approximately four weekend shifts in a four-week schedule
• Unit: 10-bed SCU/Telemetry unit with ICU-level care
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:3–5 based on acuity
• Charting: Epic

Travel ICU Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, or a license eligible for the assignment
• At least 1 year of recent ICU, step-down, progressive care, or telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Current PALS certification
• Experience caring for patients requiring ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and titratable drips
• Epic electronic health record charting experience preferred
• NIHSS certification is a plus
• Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays and float to Medical-Surgical assignments when needed
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and commitment to high-quality patient care
• Compliance with applicable COVID-19 vaccination requirements or an approved medical or religious exemption

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to ICU, step-down, and telemetry patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and critical-care diagnoses
• Monitor patients receiving ventilatory support, including mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Administer and titrate cardiac and critical-care drips according to orders and clinical protocols
• Perform focused and comprehensive assessments, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Manage telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to rhythm changes and other clinical abnormalities
• Collaborate with hospitalists, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, patient care technicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Support safe transitions of care through patient and family education, care coordination, and timely communication
• Float to Medical-Surgical areas and assume a full assignment when unit needs require it
