Basic Job Functions:

• Develop and support engineering projects including layouts, equipment specifications, timelines, RFQs, cost estimates, and vendor coordination.
• Review, compare, and negotiate contractor and vendor proposals.
• Create and update plant equipment, process flow, and facility layout drawings.
• Work with plant operations teams to troubleshoot issues, interpret drawings, and support root cause analysis.
• Analyze production data to define opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Support integration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automation systems (PLC, HMI, robotics, controls).
• Participate in commissioning new equipment including validation, startup, documentation, and training.
• Promote and demonstrate strong safety culture in all activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Automation, or related Engineering field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD tools.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and technology. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ownership, follow-through, and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, robotics, SCADA, MES).
• Exposure to equipment installation, integration, or manufacturing operations.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience coordinating with external suppliers, integrators, and contractors.
• Experience with process mapping or capacity analysis.
