At Joseph Giles State Farm, our receptionist is much more than the person answering the phone. You're the first impression of our agency, an important part of the customer experience, and a valuable contributor to our team's success.

This position combines customer service, relationship building, and sales. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people but also has the confidence and motivation to turn conversations into opportunities.

You don't need years of insurance experience. You do need a great attitude, strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the desire to succeed.

What You'll Do

Create an Outstanding Customer Experience

• Welcome customers and make them feel comfortable, valued, and appreciated.

• Answer incoming calls, respond to questions, and assist with everyday insurance needs.

• Build genuine relationships that make customers want to stay with our agency.

• Help maintain an organized, positive, and professional office.

Identify Opportunities & Generate Sales

• Recognize opportunities to offer additional insurance coverage during everyday service conversations.

• Help existing customers explore coverage they may be missing, including auto, home, renters, and life insurance.

• Reach out to prospective customers, follow up on leads, and help generate new business.

• Ask thoughtful questions, uncover needs, and confidently recommend next steps.

• Contribute to individual and team sales goals, with opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance.

Previous insurance, customer service, retail, hospitality, or sales experience is a plus. A great personality and strong work ethic are just as important.

Candidates must be willing to obtain applicable insurance licenses if not already licensed.
