Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician

Overview The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Albany Medical College, within the Albany Med Health System, is actively recruiting a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician to join the team. The division at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center is a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, psychologists, speech therapists and master’s level clinicians serving patients from a catchment area of 25 counties surrounding the Capital District of New York. Responsibilities Diagnostic assessments and medical management of patients up to 21 years of age with developmental concerns including Autism Spectrum Disorder; Developmental delays; ADHD; Learning disorders; Behavioral health disorders including anxiety; Neonatal follow up. Partnering with pediatric practitioners including psychiatry, general pediatrics, neurology and genetics. Contribute to practice innovations such as a Medical Home for children with ASD, a feeding team, and a fast track developmental screening for children under age 5. Qualifications Board certification or board eligibility in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Interest in developing innovative programming within the scope of DB practice. Experience or interest in teaching house staff and medical students. Strong dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations. Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary range for Assistant Professor commensurate with experience: $190,000-$198,000. Salary for higher academic rank to be addressed at time of interview. Competitive base salary range for Assistant Professor $190,000-$198,000 with additional incentive bonus opportunity. Robust sign-on bonus. Relocation assistance.
