Associate Application Analyst - Workforce Management Systems

Responsibilities Supports the implementation of Time and Attendance, Employee Debit, and HR/Payroll Systems. Monitors the resolution of maintenance or enhancement issues assigned by the UHS Customer Support Center. Implements modifications to existing applications that will effectively accomplish desired objectives. Provides technical support to UHS entities as needed. Meets deadlines and ensures continued progress toward assignment completion. Shares experience with other members of the team. System Implementation Regularly participates in meetings with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop or modify system specifications. Supports the implementations of applications and assists in the preparation of documentation. Performs system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle under the guidance of senior team members. Performs quality assurance on application functionality under the guidance of senior team members. Researches and resolves implementation-related Customer Support Center tickets. Adheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standards. Ensures strict adherence to work plans and reports all serious deviations to management. Assists with the training of users in operating procedures for the application. Works with users daily on file building, training and system configuration. Is a self‑starter who will look for solutions when dealing with multistate payroll laws and rules. Assists in training, documentation, conversions and implementation of the Kronos ISeries product. System Maintenance & Support Researches and resolves Customer Support Center tickets under the guidance of senior team members. Participates in major application upgrades. Adheres to UHS Service Level and Change Management Policies. Provides on‑call support as scheduled. Establishes and maintains regular communications with the user community. Administration Oversight Maintains Service Excellence principles. Prepares and submits status reports to the supervisor as required. Keeps management well informed of activities, needs and problems. Performs other tasks as required by management. Qualifications Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. One or more years of progressively more responsible Information Systems experience preferred. Basic knowledge of system application implementation, enhancement and support methods and practices. Working knowledge of computer systems analysis and programming techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications; design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, coding, debugging, or modification of computer systems or programs based on and related to user design specifications. Basic knowledge of IS standards and quality methods and metrics. Basic knowledge of project management methods. General familiarity with user business practices, concepts and terminology sufficient to support the applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Travel Requirements 5-25% domestic US travel (depending on projects).
