UX/UI Designer (Fashion) - remote freelance

Our client, a growing name in the e-commerce/fashion space is seeking an experienced Product Designer to support the design of their Shopify-based platform, ecommerce and mobile experiences. This is a 3 month remote contract (40 hours a week) with potential to extend. Must be US based. This is a hands-on role focused on creating clear, intuitive, and practical experiences across business applications, ecommerce, responsive web, and native mobile. The designer will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and business stakeholders to translate requirements and workflows into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma. The ideal candidate has strong product design experience and can move comfortably between complex business workflows and customer-facing commerce experiences. Key Responsibilities Design user experiences and interfaces for The Studio, customer-facing ecommerce, and related mobile applications. Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and design specifications in Figma. Design ecommerce experiences including navigation, search, product discovery, product detail pages, cart, checkout, account, loyalty, and post-purchase journeys. Design responsive experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile, as well as native mobile application experiences. Partner with Product Management, Marketing, and business stakeholders to understand user needs, workflows, and business requirements. Work closely with Engineering to ensure designs are technically feasible and implemented as intended. Participate in design reviews, implementation reviews, and design QA. Create and maintain reusable components, design patterns, and Figma libraries to improve consistency across products. Support initiatives across ecommerce, CRM, loyalty, clienteling, AI-enabled experiences, dashboards, and business productivity tools. Gather feedback and iterate quickly as requirements and user needs evolve. Support additional product design initiatives across Technology and Marketing as priorities require. Required Experience 3–5+ years of Product Design, UX/UI Design, or similar experience. Strong proficiency with Figma, including components, auto layout, prototyping, and design systems. Strong experience designing customer-facing ecommerce experiences. Experience designing responsive web experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile. Experience designing native mobile application experiences for iOS and/or Android. Experience designing business applications, workflows, or other complex digital products. Strong understanding of user experience, interaction design, information architecture, usability, and conversion principles. Experience partnering directly with Product Managers and software engineers throughout the development lifecycle. Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work
