Journeyman Mission Analyst

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Mission Assurance analysis to understand how critical missions depend on assets, systems, infrastructure, and external dependencies
• Analyze Defense Critical Infrastructure (DCI) and Task Critical Assets (TCAs) to identify vulnerabilities, single points of failure, and mission impacts
• Support ongoing identification, validation, periodic revalidation, and continuous improvement of mission‑critical capabilities
• Coordinate with OSD, the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, MAJCOMs, installations, and other DoD agencies as directed
• Manage, analyze, and contextualize Mission Assurance risk data to support understanding of impacts to mission execution
• Augment Government‑led Mission Assurance assessment teams, including pre‑site survey activities, on‑site data collection, and post‑assessment analysis
• Additional duties as assigned

Experience Requirements

• 3–10 years in any career field, discipline, or industry
• Experience with DoD Mission Assurance processes (DoDI 3020.45) preferred
• Background in operations, intelligence, force protection, or risk management preferred
• Familiarity with TCA/DCA identification and Air Force operations preferred

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in any field

Certification Requirements

• None specified

Security Clearance Requirements

• Active/current Top Secret (TS) clearance on Day 1 of performance
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and TS/SCI with Caveats
• U.S. Citizenship required

Other Requirements

• Ability to work 100% on‑site within a Government SCIF during core duty hours
• CONUS travel may be required (coordinated with the Government at least 10 calendar days prior)
• OCONUS travel may be required (e.g., EUCOM/PACOM AOR support; coordinated at least 20 calendar days prior, with Theater Business Clearances)
• Local travel within the National Capital Region may be required
• Trip and After‑Action Reports are required following each trip
• May be required to move equipment/files weighing up to 50 pounds
• May require sedentary work at least 50% of the time
• Reports to a physical location which occasionally requires the ability to traverse between buildings
• Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism
• Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the ability to work well with others
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $100,000-300,000. Multiple considerations are taken into account when determining the final salary/hour rate, including but not limited to Contract Wage Determination, education and certifications, relevant work experience, related skills and competencies, as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
