Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ growth and communication skills in a school-based setting, with a contract beginning August 15, 2026, and continuing through June 15, 2027. Located near Sunnyvale, CA, this position offers a chance to make a genuine impact in a vibrant community, working on a team dedicated to student success.
Ideal candidates bring expertise in pediatric speech-language pathology across diverse settings, including in-person and teletherapy environments. Those holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or working towards Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status are encouraged to apply!
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or eligible for CFY
- Familiarity with pediatric, healthcare, and school-based SLP caseloads
- Experience across teletherapy and traditional therapy preferred
- Knowledge of current IEP systems and willingness to learn district protocols
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Passion for serving schools and adaptability in itinerant settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in compliance with district and state standards
- Provide both direct and consultative services, potentially across multiple schools
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families on student progress and support plans
- Engage in team meetings and offer mentorship or supervision as appropriate
- Document services and progress in line with district guidelines
