Project Director

The project director will lead and coordinate projects of varying complexity and scale through all phases of initiation, development, and implementation. As part of the U.S. Insurance Project Management Office, you will ensure launch readiness of products and solutions through close collaboration with Marketing, Sales & Distribution, Finance, Product, Operations and Technology, to ensure market success. Position Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end delivery of initiatives through close cross‑functional collaboration. Ability to manage multistakeholder teams with interlinked needs, identify and oversee dependencies. Work with teams to drive readiness of processes, reporting, controls, and training for impacted teams to ensure smooth adoption of new tools and capabilities. Ability to manage projects with net‑new build, processes and infrastructure. Be responsible for the backlog of post‑launch actions to ensure market acceptance, working across the business to ensure agreed‑upon delivery and timely resolution of any issues or challenges. Report regularly on project status, including key achievements, risks, and challenges – taking proactive measures to remove obstacles to success. Support in business case development for projects and track to benefit targets and budget. Identify resource needs for the project and establish roles, expectations, and goals with team members. Participate in negotiation of contract terms and conditions and ensure compliance with contract terms for project consultants and vendors. Required Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in project/program management in delivering major cross‑functional insurance solutions. Experience in life insurance finance, including actuarial, accounting and reporting processes is an asset. Deep understanding and experience with project management tools and methodologies, along with Agile experience. Extensive experience working with senior management stakeholders, building trust, and driving impact. Strong collaboration, presentation, communication, and influence skills. Ability to think strategically, assess alternatives for short and long‑term impacts and act conclusively. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Prior business analyst experience, particularly with finance projects is an asset. Experience with Jira and Smartsheet is a plus.
