Orthopedic Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedics team. In this role, you will partner with board-certified orthopedic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Your clinical expertise will help enhance patient outcomes by providing comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and assisting in surgical and non-surgical orthopedic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Evaluation & Management: Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations. Order and interpret diagnostic studies (e.g., X-rays, MRIs, CT scans) to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for orthopedic conditions.
• Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless, multidisciplinary care. Participate in preoperative and postoperative care, including patient education and follow-up.
• Procedural Assistance: Assist in orthopedic procedures, including casting, splinting, and minor in-office interventions. Provide support during surgical procedures as needed, maintaining strict adherence to safety and sterile protocols.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely patient records in compliance with regulatory standards and Beacon Medical Group policies. Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's-level Physician Assistant degree from an accredited program.
• Active PA license in the state of Indiana.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Prior experience in orthopedics is preferred, though exceptional candidates with a strong clinical background and interest in musculoskeletal medicine are encouraged to apply.
