Physician Assistant – Neurosurgery

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant – Neurosurgery to join our dynamic neurosurgical team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the evaluation, management, and care of neurosurgical patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons and multidisciplinary teams to provide exceptional care and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Evaluation & Management: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories, physical exams, and diagnostic test interpretations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for neurosurgical patients.
• Clinical Collaboration: Assist neurosurgeons with preoperative and postoperative care, including patient consultations and follow-ups. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and facilitate seamless transitions between care settings.
• Procedural Assistance: Participate in neurosurgical procedures as needed, ensuring adherence to strict safety and sterile protocols.
• Patient & Family Education: Educate patients and families on treatment options, surgical procedures, and post-discharge care to ensure informed decision-making and optimal recovery.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely patient records in compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.

Qualifications

• Master's-level Physician Assistant degree from an accredited program.
• Active PA license in the state of Indiana.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.
• Neurosurgery experience is preferred, though candidates with strong clinical skills and a passion for neurosurgical care are welcome. Open to New Grads!
• Exceptional clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
