Work Schedule: Monday through Friday onsite. 7.5-hour workday with .5-hour unpaid lunch. During NYPA and Canals holidays, the business is closed, and no work is permitted.

CWPO Engagement Requirements

• Candidates are REQUIRED to be local to the Tri-State area and in W2 tax status as an hourly paid employee of Service Provider.
• Fully remote positions are prohibited. Hybrid schedules are permissible with a minimum of 3 days on-site depending on assignment and can be fully on-site depending on business needs. Remote work privileges can be revoked at any time.
• NYPA does not provide laptops. Instead, NYPA provides desktops and dedicated workstations which candidates will remote into from their personal equipment on virtual days.
• If candidate does not have proper equipment, internet connection, or he/she is deemed to not work effectively from home, the hybrid privilege will be revoked.
• Vendors must disclose foreign national status and all Visas at the time of candidate submission. Additionally, a Benefits Waiver and Ethics Disclosure will be required of the candidate during onboarding.

Project Overview

The IT Site Service Specialist for the CEC Region is responsible for managing and executing all aspects of IT activities, services, technology, and products provided by the IT department specifically for the CEC Region. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that IT investments and services align with and support the strategies and objectives of the CEC Region.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

End User Support. Maintenance of IT Resources: Perform regular maintenance and upkeep of IT resources to ensure their optimal performance and reliability for the CEC Region. Additionally, the IT Site Service Specialist role involves managing all activities necessary to anticipate, prevent, and respond to technology interruptions, ensuring uninterrupted IT services for the CEC Region. This includes providing support for the setup, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues related to services, technology, and products. The role requires determining solutions, providing technical feedback on changes/enhancements, creating tests, tools, and diagnostic procedures, and assisting in complex technical solutions that may require changes to core functionality, code, and systems operation. Service fulfillment is also a key responsibility, ensuring that customer requests from the CEC Region are met efficiently and effectively. Assist in monitoring compliance with IT standards and processes. Assist with the testing and implementation of new systems.

Skills

• Experienced in following ITIL processes, procedures including ticketing systems (like ServiceNow, Remedy, etc).
• Experience supporting end-user Operating Systems (Windows, MacOS)
• Experience supporting M365 products, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, etc.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Skilled in understanding and managing risks appropriately.
• Experience with end-user compute devices and peripherals (laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, and mobile device configuration).
• Experience in supporting software applications, Active Directory, and Remote Desktop Tools.

Education & Certifications

• Associate's degree required with minimum 5 years of directly related experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with minimum 3 years of experience in Information Technology field.
• ITIL V4 Preffered.
