The facility is one of the largest academic and surgical hospitals in the Northeast and offers robust clinical support including integrated Behavioral Health services, high-risk Nurse Care Managers, Social Workers, and 2.5 clinical support staff per physician, all supported by EPIC EMR with Dragon dictation.

Physician – Primary Care

Job Details:

• Full-time Internal Medicine Physician role within an Adult Primary Care Clinic serving as an Attending Faculty Physician with leadership responsibilities
• Schedule typically includes 8 half-day clinic sessions per week with dedicated academic time
• Approximately 5 weekends per year of inpatient coverage
• Active resident teaching within the University of Connecticut Internal Medicine Residency Program
• Opportunity for a formal leadership role within the residency program including curriculum innovation, mentorship, and recruitment
• Partner in clinic leadership to enhance access, elevate quality, and design patient-centered models of care across the ambulatory continuum
• Engage in high-impact institutional and system-wide initiatives spanning quality, population health, and care delivery transformation
• Develop academic portfolio through scholarly work, program development, and academic advancement
• Patient follow-ups and care coordination within a multi-provider outpatient clinic setting
• Access to the HHC Provider Leadership Development Institute and dedicated Office of Provider Wellness
• Physician Mentorship program and structured onboarding provided
• Flexible scheduling with infrequent call
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine required
• Faculty experience preferred
• Active Connecticut Medical License or eligibility required
