Department Assistant

Apex Systems is seeking a Department Assistant for a healthcare organization. Will provide administrative support to ensure smooth operations. Performs clerical, administrative and general office duties involving typing, record and file maintenance, document creation, mail distribution and reception. Has some knowledge of the unit's operations, organization and procedures. Maintains office files and records in accordance with internal procedures. Receives and refers visitors and telephone callers. Responds to routine requests for information and refers more complex requests to appropriate staff members. Opens and distributes mail. Responds with form letters to routine requests. Drafts and types routine letters and memoranda from specific instructions. Assembles relevant data and complies information as directed. Produces a variety of correspondence and reports. Maintains appointment calendars.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Basic computer skills, including MS Office. Adaptable and able to handle large volumes of work

Certification/Registration: Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: Ability to multi-task and experience in a fast-paced environment

Location: San Diego, CA 92127

Onsite expectation: 5 days per week onsite

Pay range: $25/hour
