Job Title: Distribution Control Associate
Location: Goleta, CA (100% On-Site)
Duration: 3+ Months (Contract)
Shift: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable Distribution Control Associate to support daily operations across our Shipping, Receiving, and Stockroom departments in Goleta, CA. This role handles physical material handling, accurate inventory tracking, and shipping execution while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving & Inspection: Process incoming shipments, verify quantities against packing slips, inspect packaging visually, and log items for receiving inspection.
- Stockroom & Inventory: Stock incoming materials in designated locations, pick kits, replenish Kanban systems, and perform regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Shipping & Packaging: Safely pack finished goods per specifications, pull inventory for orders, and process outbound shipments using carrier software (DHL, FedEx, etc.).
- System Entry: Perform all inventory and material transactions accurately using the SAP system.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate with internal departments (Purchasing, Inspection, Operations) to resolve inventory or shipment discrepancies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience & Systems: Basic computer proficiency with experience or ability to learn SAP and shipping software (FedEx, DHL).
- Quality Standards: Familiarity with regulated quality systems (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001) is strongly preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform bending/stooping, lift up to 40 lbs, and operate hand trucks or pallet jacks.
- Core Skills: Strong basic math capabilities, precise record-keeping skills, solid written/verbal communication, and high attention to detail.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic and dependable daily attendance.
