Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Denton, 3000 N I-35, Denton, TX 76201 Work hours: 7p - 7a - PRN III - 6 shifts per 6 weeks schedule, 2 weekend shift per 6 weeks schedule, 1 major and 2 minor Holiday shifts ED Department highlights: Patients with critical injuries or illnesses are treated in one of our 41 Emergent Care Rooms. Next stop trauma designation! Our emergency care nurses, paramedics, employees, and physicians on the medical staff receive continual training in the use of specialized lifesaving equipment and techniques. Here's What You Need:

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
• Current RN licensure upon hire
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS within 90 days of hire
• CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
• ENPC Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course 12 months required
• TNCC Trauma Nursing Core Course 12 months required
• PALS - within 90 days of hire
• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse required
• 2 years of RN experience preferred
• 1 year of ED experience or Critical Care experience strongly preferred

What You Will Do:

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
