Welder Fabricator

*This position is union represented. The employee will be signed up with Union Local 354 by Tomko and offered benefits according to the specific CBA.*

*Position Summary:*

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder with experience in MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welding processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety and industry standards.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Perform welding tasks using *MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Flux Core (FCAW)* processes
* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
* Set up welding equipment, select appropriate materials, and adjust settings for optimal results
* Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
* Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces
* Repair and rework welds as needed
* Maintain welding tools and equipment in safe working condition
* Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
* Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality control personnel

*Qualifications:*

* High school diploma or GED (technical/trade school preferred)
* Proven experience with MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welding
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
* Familiarity with various metals (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.)
* Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality
* Knowledge of welding safety standards and procedures
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment

*Preferred Certifications:*

* AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent
* Additional welding certifications are a plus

*Work Environment:*

* Manufacturing or fabrication shop environment
* May involve indoor and outdoor work depending on project requirements

*Physical Requirements:*

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
* Prolonged standing, bending, and working in various positions
* Ability to work in environments with heat, noise, and fumes (PPE provided)

*Expected Hours of Work:*

This is a full-time position. Forty hours per week/10 hours per day/Monday through Thursday, 6:30am to 4:00pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
