Lead Physician, Section of Addiction & Recovery Medicine Lee Health is a nonprofit organization committed to building a healthier future for its 17,000 employees and the Southwest Florida community. The role of Lead Physician will serve as the Section Leader for Addiction and Recovery Medicine, overseeing outpatient services and steering expansion toward a Center of Excellence designation. Position Information Lee Health is seeking a visionary Board-Certified Physician to serve as the Section Leader for Addiction and Recovery Medicine. The Lead Physician will spearhead the growth of outpatient services, develop innovative care delivery models, and lead a dedicated team of clinicians and staff. Leadership & Growth: Report directly to the Medical Director and System Director to shape the next phase of the Section's evolution. Innovative Care: Develop novel care methods for patients geographically separated from Lee Health. Established Support: Lead a dedicated team historically comprised of two physicians, an RN, an Addiction Psychotherapist, and robust administrative staff. Research & Academic Support: Provide infrastructure for grant writing, submission, and maintenance for candidates with a track record or interest in clinical research. Key Responsibilities Provide high-level clinical oversight and direct patient care within the outpatient addiction program. Drive the strategic expansion of services to meet significant community demand. Uphold and champion standards of clinical excellence to achieve "Center of Excellence" distinction. Work to expand services to meet the large need in the community. Qualifications Board Certification: Required in your primary medical specialty. Addiction Medicine: Board Certification and Fellowship training in Addiction Medicine are highly preferred. Leadership Mindset: Proven ability to scale programs and implement innovative healthcare solutions. Clinical Excellence: Commitment to evidence-based, compassionate recovery medicine.
