Manufacturing Machinist

Manufacturing TechnicianBalanced Body, the world's largest designer and manufacturer of Pilates equipment, is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join our team. You'll operate and maintain precision equipment, fabricate prototype parts and fixtures, and bring strong hands-on troubleshooting skills to a fast-paced, process-driven shop floor.We're looking for someone detail-oriented and deadline-driven, comfortable working independently or as part of a team, and adaptable when priorities shift.What you'll doOperate manual mill, lathe, surface grinder, laser cutter, saws, shears, and related hand toolsFabricate prototype parts, jigs, and fixtures from wood or metalRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructionsSet up, inspect, calibrate, and maintain manufacturing equipmentTake dimensional measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instrumentsSelect the appropriate machine and settings for a given taskMaintain parts and supply inventory in the MRP systemAssist engineering team in setting up product testing-load cells, wear testing, lifecycle testing etcDisassemble products to diagnose the root cause of failuresPerform preventive maintenance on production jigs and toolingApply quality tools and processes in day-to-day workTake on other duties as needed to support the team.What you bring5+ years of experience in a machine shop environmentWorking knowledge of ASME Y14.5M / GD&T standards and tolerance stack-upUnderstanding of basic mechanical design principlesExperience with measurement and test equipment (calipers, micrometers, force gauges, CMM)Knowledge of proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) proceduresStrong math, mechanical, and coordination skillsSelf-directed with excellent time management and the ability to prioritize shifting tasks under deadline pressureA positive, can-do attitude and strong organizational habitsForklift certification a plus.Work Schedule: This position is onsite and full-time, Monday to Friday.Balanced Body is the world's largest designer and manufacturer of Pilates equipment, as well as a provider of high-quality Pilates and other mind-body instructor training and continuing education.
