Medical Surgical Nurse (MS RN)

Med Surg RnMS RN's care for adult patients who are acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems and diseases or are recovering from surgery. Med Surg unit of a facility is where ill patients go to recover before being discharged. They handle large patient loads, juggle multiple patient populations, and adapt to the ever-changing face of nursing care. Although most MS RN's work in the Med Surg unit of hospitals, they can work in a variety of settings includes camps, clinics, schools, and ambulatory care centers.Education/Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year EducationAssociates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year EducationYou must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.RN's can only work with an active state license.ACLS occasionally required**8 or 12 Hour Shifts. **Must pick up 1 shift every 60 days to stay active CLN must be willing to go to all DSM 3 campuses (Lutheran, Methodist West, IMMC) Submission Requirements 2+ years of current acute care Med Surg experience - [REQUIRED] Must be willing to float to all DSM3 campuses (Lutheran, Methodist West, IMMC) - [REQUIRED] Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred - [REQUIRED] Candidate must have 1+ year of travel experience - [REQUIRED] Active Iowa RN licensure in good standing - [REQUIRED] Valid driver's license if operating work vehicle - [REQUIRED] Level 1 Trauma Experience - [HIGHLY PREFERRED] Please list how many shifts per month your clinician is willing to pick up!
