Senior Data Scientist

AbbVie seeks an experienced Senior Data Scientist to develop machine learning and AI solutions for copay intelligence and patient affordability programs. The role involves building predictive models, designing analytics products, and collaborating across teams to transform healthcare data into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models for healthcare affordability and copay intelligence
• Build predictive models identifying patterns and opportunities from healthcare and claims data
• Perform feature engineering, forecasting, segmentation, and statistical analyses on large datasets
• Partner with data engineering and technology teams to operationalize ML solutions at scale
• Mentor junior data scientists and present findings to senior leadership and stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related discipline)
• 6+ years developing and deploying machine learning or advanced analytics solutions in production environments
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with hands-on ML frameworks (Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Knowledge of statistics, experimentation, predictive modeling, and model evaluation techniques
• Experience with MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, and production AI practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business challenges into data solutions
• Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or payer data experience preferred
