Sr Financial Analyst

Job Overview Senior Financial Analyst – Clinical Research Operations (Remote, U.S.). Provide financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support drug development and clinical trials at Sarah Cannon Research Institute. Responsibilities Develop departmental budgets and conduct variance analysis using historical data to recommend improvements. Perform cost‑view budgeting and month‑end financial analysis. Analyze variances to standards, identify root causes, and provide actionable insights. Interpret historical trends to forecast future performance based on cause‑and‑effect relationships. Create and maintain forecasting models with appropriate variance analyses to support decision‑making. Prepare Monthly Operating Reports for executive management with comprehensive data and root‑cause research. Support additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. 3+ years’ experience as a Financial Analyst in pharmaceutical, clinical research, healthcare, or medical device industry. Knowledge of business models and performance metrics in healthcare or clinical research. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data extraction and analysis tools. Strong presentation skills and ability to translate analytical insights into clear executive recommendations. Curiosity about cause and effect, model building, and data‑driven decision‑making.
