About You We’re looking for someone who has: A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Integrated Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field A minimum of three years of relevant experience Strong writing and editing skills, including knowledge of AP style, grammar, and punctuation, with the ability to provide relevant work samples The ability to translate complex architecture and engineering information into engaging content that is easily understood by nontechnical audiences The ability to distill key thought leadership concepts into compelling articles and targeted media pitches Working knowledge of communications, public relations, and marketing practices and principles Media relations experience, including developing targeted pitches and building relationships with reporters Experience developing and managing social media content, preferably in a business-to-business environment Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, website content management systems such as WordPress, content dissemination platforms, and native social media analytics Experience with media and social monitoring platforms such as Cision, Meltwater, or Muck Rack Hands‑on experience with HubSpot, PR Newswire, or related platforms Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Strong interpersonal and consulting skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives, subject matter experts, technical staff, internal stakeholders, and marketing partners Strong time‑management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, maintain attention to detail, and follow up on time‑sensitive deliverables independently The ability to lead and manage meetings, including developing agendas, outlining next steps, and clearly communicating decisions and deliverables Familiarity with standard office practices and the ability to follow established firm policies and procedures A collaborative, team‑oriented approach and the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships A willingness to travel approximately 15%, including overnight stays, based on project and event schedules The ability to maintain a regular in‑office presence in our Nashville office as part of a hybrid work arrangement Public relations agency or journalism experience is preferred. Experience in video production, including storyboarding and conducting interviews, and an interest in or experience with the architecture, engineering, and construction industries are also considered a plus. About the Role As the Public Relations & Communications Coordinator , you will: Develop brand-consistent and engaging content, including project profiles, website copy, social media and blog posts, press releases, and newsletters that communicate Gresham Smith’s capabilities and value to clients Identify relevant industry and national publications, track editorial calendars, and maintain public relations distribution lists Build and maintain relationships with key reporters and develop targeted media pitches that showcase Gresham Smith’s thought leadership and expertise Research conference, panel, speaking, and interview opportunities for the firm’s subject matter experts Support industry and employee award submission processes Develop and manage social media content and editorial calendars Maintain and update website pages using WordPress or a similar content management system Support or lead the execution and measurement of communication strategies, projects, and initiatives based on experience Monitor and report on social media and external communication metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement Plan, support, and manage in‑person events, including town hall meetings, the firm’s annual internal Celebration, project milestone events, and client‑facing events Collaborate with internal stakeholders and marketing partners to ensure communications are accurate, timely, and aligned with firm standards #J-18808-Ljbffr
