Phlebotomist PositionWe are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to support the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Augusta, Maine. This full time, one year contract begins in August 2026 and offers competitive hourly pay, comprehensive benefits, a consistent schedule, and the opportunity to provide exceptional care to our nation's Veterans.Position Highlights$25/hourMedical, Dental, & Vision Insurance401k Plan8/15/2026 - 8/14/2027Extension OpportunitiesDay & Evening Shift OpeningsLight Weekend CoverageDutiesPerform venipuncture and specimen collection for inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and timed laboratory draws.Process laboratory specimens and prepare samples for reference laboratory send-outs.Maintain patient safety while providing compassionate, high quality care.Shift NeedsDay Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PMEvening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PMRotating Weekends (1–2 per month)RequirementsMinimum 3 years of recent phlebotomy experienceExperience with venipuncture on adult patientsHigh school diploma or equivalentNational phlebotomy certification preferred
