Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety policies, procedures, and programs tailored to commercial construction projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Provide training and guidance to employees, contractors, and stakeholders on safety protocols and best practices.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and ensure company compliance.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Monitor and manage safety equipment, ensuring availability and proper use on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role within the commercial construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30/OSHA 500, CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) are highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze complex situations and provide practical safety solutions.
• Proficiency in safety management software and tools is a plus.

Day-to-Day

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and address any identified risks or hazards.
• Facilitate safety training sessions and ensure all team members are informed of safety protocols.
• Review and update safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure safety measures are integrated into daily operations.
• Monitor compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and other safety standards.
• Prepare and submit regular safety performance reports to senior management.
