Registered Nurse - Emergency RoomJob Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency RoomProfession: RN (Registered Nurse)Specialty: ER (Emergency Room)Duration: 12 weeksShift: Evening/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hoursExperience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency DepartmentLicense: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPCMust-Have: 2 years of experience in Emergency DepartmentCompetence in managing trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac patientsCandidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the organization within the past yearThe unit has 243 beds/trauma bays. Fast track is available. A separate triage area exists, and travelers may occasionally perform triageER holds are intermixed within the ER. ER RNs are responsible for managing their own ER holdsThere are no separate psych/seclusion rooms. In-house security is availableThe unit treats approximately 80-90 patients per day. Ratios are 1 to 4The Emergency Medical Record system used is EPIC. Respiratory Therapy is responsible for ABGs, breathing treatments, and EGSsRNs must know ECG rhythms as there are no monitor techs in the unitX-Ray or CT services are available next to the Emergency Department, and transport is providedTechs or RNs draw blood samplesScheduling is flexible with self-scheduling options for days and nights. Weekend and holiday requirements are every otherThere is no call or standby requirement. Floating to qualified units may be requiredThe dress code is navy scrubs.
