Engineer OMS
Academy Sports and Outdoors
Education High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering, or related field preferred. Work Experience 3+ years of IBM Sterling OMS implementation and support experience. Hands-on experience with the IBM Sterling Order Management platform. Hands-on experience with Sterling Web SOM (preferred). Experience integrating the Order Management system with e‑commerce platforms and enterprise applications. Technical Skills Sterling Order Management development and customization. Sterling Web store customization. Design and develop solutions using the Agile SDLC process. Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Confluence, and JIRA. Ability to work independently; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Proficient in converting business requirements to technical solutions; learning new tools and technologies. Responsibilities Develop and maintain OMS features, integrations, and APIs. Collaborate with product managers and QA to deliver high‑quality features. Participate in development, testing, and code reviews. Contribute to technical design discussions and propose design solutions. Participate in Agile Scrum processes. Meet schedules and timelines by working with Product, Project Management, Development, and QA teams. Develop a thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and safety rules. Duties may change; may be required to perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements & Attendance Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties. Adhere to company work hours, policies, and procedures governing professional staff behavior. Regular in-office attendance is required.
